Day 13 and 14

Day 13

Thoughtful days of putting ourselves into Christ's story;
the annunciation, birth and early childhood
culminating in the 'Father's house' experience at the Temple in Jerusalem.
I notice my tendency to remain objective about this,
enjoying the telling of a good tale,
rather than be touched by the awe and wonder of what's going on...

In service today, I take my turn to read and lead the Allelujahs!  Absolutely terrifying and joyful experience!

The end of the exposition each night reminds me
of the moment on Maundy Thursday
when 'all is stripped away'
and it feels as if Jesus has left the building.

Day 14

The wind is blowing to and fro
Bringing rain from the west and smooring down the stars
But by day it sings thaw to the frozen banks
And sends meltwater careering down the lanes
Shining in sunlight.

  2. Thankyou Dawn! The main chapel here(once painted pink!)is such a lovely space, and the canopy above us as we worship somehow like being folded in God's 'wings.'
